Food Truck Festivals are back in full Swing with FTFA’s Panama City Beach Festival

Updated: Apr 20, 2022

Hope you’re hungry because Food Truck Festivals of America is ready to bring food, drinks, and fun to the sun-soaked shores of Panama City Beach when we kick off our 2022 season on February 5 and 6 at Aaron Bessent Park. From curry to cheesecake, over 20 trucks will be serving a savory selection of good eats.

Families, friends, and foodies will be sure to leave with their stomachs satisfied- and don’t forget, admission is free for kids! After the pandemic forced businesses across the nation to scale back, Food Truck Festivals of America is excited to return for what will be one of our most exciting seasons yet.

Food Spotlight

Getchewa Box

For fans of authentic southern cooking, Getchewabox will be serving up their delicious Po’ Boys Sandwiches, while also offering other specialties such as wings, crab claws, and fried green tomatoes. Local to the Panama City area, Getchewabox will offer both traditional and new takes on southern classics for festival attendees to enjoy. You can check out everything Getchewa Box has to offer by visiting their Facebook page.

My Ohana

My Ohana is bringing delectable pan-Asian cuisine cooked specially with recipes that have been passed down for generations. You won’t want to miss Chef Mike’s authentic Hawaiian-Okinawan cooking, such as Japanese-style fried Karaage chicken, pork belly, teriyaki chicken, and tuna poke bowls. For more details on My Ohana, you can visit their website by clicking here.

El Weirdo

Embrace your inner weirdo and enjoy some crazy good tacos at the same time with El Weirdo. Bringing a taste of Mexican street cooking to Panama City, come see why El Weirdo has earned its name in our books with menu items such as Wizard Fries, which come covered in “magical” taco toppings and wizard sauce. Festival attendees can try to solve the mystery of wizard sauce in person. To learn more about El Weirdo you can visit their website by clicking here.

Brew Spotlight

It isn’t a festival without the drinks, and don’t worry- we’re coming prepared for Panama City. With over fifteen brews and counting, there are several options for attendees to enjoy, including Wicked Weed, Swamp Head, Funky Buddha, Fairhope Brewing Co., Anheuser-Busch, Islamorada Beverages, Grayton Beer Company and more. The festival will also have Liquid Death, which is water in an aluminum can- you just have to trust us.

The SnöBar Truck

For attendees who enjoy their drinks frozen, The SnöBar Truck is an experience that you won’t want to miss. With artisan alcohol-infused ice pops and ice cream, it’s not hard to see why so many people want to try it for themselves. The SnöBar Truck offers a menu of classic non-alcoholic menu items as well so attendees of all ages can enjoy some frozen goodness.

You can check out more on The SnöBar Truck by visititing their Facebook page.

Fun in the Sun

So far, we’ve covered some of the food and drinks that will be offered at our Panama City Beach festival, but it’s important not to forget the fun! Fun is a priority for Food Truck Festivals of America and we cultivate every one of our events with that in mind.

Attendees can put their balance to the test on a mechanical bull or channel their inner Viking with axe throwing. A local DJ will be bringing the tunes, so make sure to bring your best dance moves. Kids can bounce to their heart’s content in our bounce house, and both kids and adults can color things up a little by getting their faces painted. We'll also have outdoor classics such as cornhole and giant Jenga.

This is going to be Food Truck Festivals of America’s fifth year serving up a good time at Panama City Beach and our team can’t wait to see familiar faces and foodies alike! Tickets range from $5-$80 and can be purchased here.
